Based on his Company Decalage repertoire and experimental approach to movement, Marso’s signature style of work often evolves and is inspired from Martial arts, Breakin, Popping, Contemporary Release, Ballet, Yoga and flying low concepts. The class includes conditioning, company repertoire and movement phrases, and is designed for professionals and also Bboys and Bgirls/street dancers wanting to freshen up and develop their movement range. Marso’s class is similar to a company class, with a more relaxed and informal approach.

Mickael Marso Riviere (Marso) is founder of Company Decalage, Bboy’s Attic and fromMarz1.4 Photography. He is a DanceXchange Associate Artist and has been based in the UK since 1999.

Marso’s productions are rooted to his main passion of Breakin’ of which he has extensive training and knowledge, along with many other disciplines including ballet, modern dance, capoeira, circus and streetdance styles. In the past 12 years, Marso has worked with a number of artists and organisations including the BBC, IDFB, Damien Jalet, Channel 4, Breakin Convention, Dance4, Jonzi D, The Circus Space & NMEC, The Place, Project Soul Korea, Micha Bergese, The Bolshoi, Sadler’s Wells, Mercat de les Flors, The Aurora Orchestra, RedBull, Hussein Chalayan, WIP La Villette, The Common Wealth Games, London 2012 and Director Danny Boyle to name a few. Marso has established an international reputation for his unique blend of contemporary and hip-hop dance works, working on high profile collaborations and with broad artistic visions which has led him to successfully deliver eclectic, refreshing, groundbreaking work in the UK and abroad.
