Scratch Night: First Light is an artist-led gathering celebrating emerging performance and creative exchange, bringing together six artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan, currently based in London.

The evening features six short performances (approximately 10–15 minutes each) spanning dance, theatre, and performance art. Sharing works in development, the artists invite audiences into different stages of their creative process, offering a rare opportunity to experience new ideas as they take shape.

Exploring themes such as the relationship between body and technology, identity and belonging, memory and healing, self-perception, and the tension between our inner and outer worlds, each work presents a unique artistic perspective while contributing to a shared dialogue on contemporary lived experiences.

Following each performance, audiences are invited to stay for a short conversation with the artist, creating space for questions, reflections, and meaningful exchange.

More than a performance showcase, Scratch Night: First Light is a space for artists, creatives, and audiences to meet, connect, and support artistic experimentation. While rooted in East Asian artistic perspectives, the event warmly welcomes people from all backgrounds to experience new work, engage in conversation, and become part of an open and supportive creative community.
