Jean Abreu
JEAN ABREU – 23 May
Participants explore a wide range of contemporary dance techniques whilst exploring Jean’s intensely physical choreographic repertoire. Dancers are encouraged to use their creativity, devising in a collaborative way some of the material and movement vocabulary for the class.
Born in Brazil, Jean Abreu moved to the UK in 1996 to study at the Trinity Laban. His work has toured the UK, Europe, USA, and China and has been presented at the Dance Umbrella, Young Vic, Southbank Centre and Royal Opera House. His critically-acclaimed works include INSIDE, BLOOD and most recently A Thread, a collaboration with the renowned sculptor Elisa Bracher.
