Open Day Family Workshops
Photographic printing (cyanotype) with Carô Gervay
‘Words are Here. Circulating.’
Description: a moment of collective memory through playful language and photographic printing (cyanotype)
Is there a word you would like to hold onto? One that you find particularly important right now, or that you like saying out loud ? Perhaps there is a meaningful word you treasure but that few people understand or that cannot be translated very easily? One you’ve just learnt or one you haven’t heard in a while but would like to discover again?
Join us for a multilingual photographic experience where we create an environment for words to (re) emerge through the leaves and patterns from Centre 151.
Create your own print and take it home with you! All ages welcome. Young children must be accompanied by an adult.
Zine Making with Anton
The afternoon session will offer a zine making workshop. A zine is a small booklet or magazine created as a means of self-expression. Essentially, it is a more personal version of a book that allows you to spread topics which you cherish. This can include recipes, comics, ideas you feel strongly about and much more. We will distribute paper, pens and material for you to create your own 8 page zine. This booklet may use illustration, collage and any form of visual communication to tell your story.
About Anton
My name is Anton, I am a Franco-Khmer designer specialising in storytelling and conceptualisation. My background in art and design allows me to work on space, visuals and communication brought whole by my diverse technical approaches. This includes illustration, animation, editorial design and filmmaking. I focus on discussing socio-political issues through a creative lens to spark new conversations and challenge perspectives, including my own. My artistic process relies heavily on human interaction and creating new relations/bridges with those whom I want to impact.
